JOHANNESBURG - It has come to MoneywebTax's attention that practitioners listed on our free directory service have been contacted by Hannes Faul seeking to raise capital for a power scheme. Practitioners are lured with the promise of high commissions; and investors are offered attractive tax incentives.

MoneywebTax.co.za does not endorse this solicitation for funds. An internet search reveals that the individual involved has a chequered history.

We do not need to remind our readers that if something sounds too good to be true it usually is.

Innovative Tax in Venture Capital - Part 1 The renewable ebergy investment opportunity circular i wrote and sent to tax professionals under the subject headung was addressed to well educated, highly qualified, experienced, knowledgable, responsible, professional tax practioners unlike email mass . .more marekting campaigns targeting unsophisticated potential victims like little old ladies, widows and orphans as the article implies. I did not "lure" recipients with commissions as imlied. Upon recepit of enquiries from tax practioners i responded to the effect that yes, i have budgeted for commissions to finders and brokers. I specifically asked one practioners to tell me if it was illiegal to pay tax practitioners a commission in transactions like this and i am not aware that it is illegal, immoral or unethical to pay stock brokers, finanacial planners or intermediaries a commission id f the investor knows, and is aware of and consents to commission payments. My buisness plan fully discloses this to investors. MoneyWebs insinuation to the effect that tax incentives for R&D tax deductions and Accdelerated depreciation deductions laws sound too good to be true should be addressed to SARS and DST for verification. Innovative Tax in Venture Capital - Part 2 A checkered history assigned to a person's character based on a quick scan of internet headline articles such as the one published and found on a popular search engine and information concerning civil litigation i was engaged in in the USA in my 28 years . .more residing there as either plaintiff or defendant is what it is. The USA is genrally speaking a very litigiuos society and anybody can file a lawsuit at the drop of a hat. In not one instance was judgement obtained against me. The aftermath of Enron's colapse wrougth havoc in the electricty industry in the USA with laws suits flying around, and such companies as big as Eskom, having to file for Bankruptcy. Suffice for now that yes, i was involved in a US federal case ion 1986, and sepent years and many dollars on successful appeals. The Key witness recanted his testimony given during trial in a subsequent sworn, notarized affidavit exonerating me of all guilt, and admitting his culpability in 1997, 11 years after the trial.
